Eligibility for Admission

​General Admission Requirements
Applicants must:
  1. Profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  2. Demonstrate a commitment to living according to Christian values and biblical standards.
  3. Agree with and sign the SCU Statement of Faith.
  4. Meet the educational prerequisites for their chosen program (see individual program descriptions).
  5. Complete all required application forms and submit any supporting documentation.
  • Application Form – Fully completed online or printed application.
  • Personal Testimony – Written statement describing your Christian faith journey and ministry calling.
  • Educational Records – High school diploma, GED, or transcripts from prior educational institutions.
  • References – At least one pastoral or ministry leader reference.
  • Application Fee – Non-refundable processing fee

Admissions Process
In keeping with our biblical convictions, Sofia Christian University admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic background to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the University. We do, however, limit enrollment to those who affirm our Christian faith and mission and agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.

Transfer Students

​Sofia Christian University may accept transfer credits from other faith-based institutions on a case-by-case basis. Transfer credits are only accepted for religious education courses and must align with our curriculum and theological framework. Credits from secular or U.S. Department of Education–accredited institutions may not be transferable unless they are religious in nature and meet SCU standards.
  • Submit Application – Complete the application form and provide all required documentation.
  • Application Review – The Admissions Office reviews all submissions for completeness and alignment with SCU’s mission and values.
  • Interview (if required) – Some applicants may be asked to participate in a phone, video, or in-person interview.
  • Notification of Acceptance – Applicants will receive an acceptance letter or next steps within the stated processing period.

International Students

International applicants are welcome and must meet the same spiritual and academic requirements as domestic students. Additional documentation (such as English language proficiency) may be required.
